Live At The Musician

The Silver Threetles will be performing their show 'A Walk Down Abbey Road' at The Musician in Leicester on Thursday 23rd July.
There's been a few changes in the last 6 months, seeing a change in personnel.
Our new drummer Chris Prog' Lee is an amazing musician, who brings a brilliant versatility and skill to the drumming stool.
And we're now joined by Craig Byrne. Known to the band as a friend for hundreds of years,  Craig is a successful composer and sound designer in his own right, working across the world in film and theatre. He's one of those people who can play anything and sing anything. Sickening really!!
So the Silver Threetles is now a 4 piece, and the changes haven't stopped there.
We wanted to revisit the songs we played in our set.
There's lots of Beatles tribute bands out there, and we wanted our show to be more a tribute to the music, without trying to create a photo of the Beatles.
So we've changed lots of songs over, added some of the greats that we simply couldn't have done before. With Craig in the band we have added tons more harmonies into the show, as well as his brilliant piano playing and a thousand keyboard parts. And with Chris's dynamism, we are reaching  a much higher standard of musicianship nailing those all too important tempos, rhythms and percussive moments that we've not seen in any other drummer before.

Come and check us out on the NEW website at www.silverthreetles.co.uk

Or say hello on Facebook
Or even bloody TWITTER

if you come to one of our shows please come and say hello!!

Happy Threetling!!

It's going to be a pretty weird week without a Threetles rehearsal. Jim is enjoying a well deserved holiday with his lovely family. So we all have  a week off rehearsing.   But we're back at the donkey in Leicester on Sunday 20th for a return gig.   It's a good job we know the songs so well! We are about to change a few things and maybe even add extra members to the band. We were so inspired by the yellow matter custard performances.
So maybe we'll see you soon

Over 7000 views!

Wow, that's over a thousand views this week alone.
Beatles Tribute Band Leicester perform Hold Your …: http://youtu.be/P-4s0o9D_3c
It's one we always play live to a great reception.
Lots of views now. We did it like this cut we were a bit fed up of playing it like the original recording.
It's one that always gets everyone singing along.
See ya next Sunday at the donkey in Leicester. If the weather's nice we'll play outside!
See ya then

Quick Set At Leicester's O2

Played a reduced  set at Leicester's O2 on Friday Only made possible because of the fab honorary Threetle Gareth Thomas (from Dexeter) learning songs & filling in. A million million thanks! — at O2 Academy Leicester  Our set included: Hard Days Night, Can't Buy Me Love,  I Should Have Known Better, 8 Days a Week, Slow Down, We Can Work It Out, Drive My Car and Long Tall Sally.
Hard to play such a short set, but we wanted to support Rock 4 Charity so tough choices had to be made! Which songs do we NOT play?
Our next full outing is Sunday 20th July at The Donkey in Leicester
See ya then

Brilliant Gig at Extonbury Festival

We had a brilliant time headlining at Extonbury Festival in Leicestershire
Helped massively by inviting anyone who wanted to join us on stage for a sing and dance.
Loads of fun bands were there and it all went to raising funds for Cancer research and Prostrate cancer (jog on cancer!)
See ya again next year
